The Bridges is considered to be one of the premier gated neighborhoods of Rancho Santa Fe, California. This incredibly private community has unobstructed views of the local golf course and resort.
The Bridges is comprised of luxury estates, many of which were built on two acres of land each. And some of the properties are situated right at the front of the greens. This neighborhood is known for its outdoor fireplaces, loggias, wine cellars, guest casitas, and private swimming pools. The Home Owners Association maintains the common area grounds as well as the guard gated entrance.
There are several school districts that serve this community. Students may attend high ranking facilities such as Olivenhain Pioneer Elementary School, Diegueno Middle School, and La Costa Canyon High School. There are a few private establishments in this city like the Horizon Christian Fellowship, The Rhoades School, and The Nativity School. Neighboring cities have schools like MiraCosta College and the University of California San Diego.
Many homes here overlook The Bridges of Rancho Santa Fe, a premier golfing community. The 18-hole par-71 private course was designed by the Robert Trent Jones II Group. It is where top players once competed in the Battle at the Bridges. This club also offers tennis, fitness, and fine dining.
The Bridges is close to the Rancho Santa Fe downtown area where you’ll find many upscale restaurants and boutiques. Shopping centers include Del Rayo Village Shopping Center, the West Village Shopping Center, and Fairbanks Village Plaza.
Rancho Santa Fe is a CDP made up of mostly residential areas with a few commercial areas and two schools. It was on the nation’s highest income list in 2010. Notable residents from the past and present include Janet Jackson, Howard Hughes, Bill Gates, Jenny Craig, Phil Mickelson, John Moores, and Robert Young. In the late 1930s and early 1940s, Bing Crosby drew crowds with the “Bing Crosby Clambake.” This tournament brought in professionals and celebrities to compete against each other.
